What we use, and only if you agree
This site uses Google Analytics to count page views and see which sources bring people here. It does not load at all unless you accept it. If you reject, or simply have not chosen yet, no analytics cookie is set and nothing is sent to Google.
There is no advertising or profiling tracker on this site.
- _ga — distinguishes one browser from another so visits are not double counted. Set by Google Analytics, expires after 2 years.
- _ga_G-VRGZNYRM35 — keeps track of the current session. Set by Google Analytics, expires after 2 years.
- cc.consent / cc.notice-seen — your own cookie choice, stored in your browser so we can honour it and stop asking. Strictly necessary, contains no identifier, and never leaves your device.
Affiliate links
When you follow a link to an operator, that operator may set its own cookies on its own site. Those are covered by that operator's cookie policy and its own consent banner, not by this one — we cannot set or read anything on their domain.
Changing your mind
Use the button below. Withdrawing is exactly as easy as agreeing was, and takes effect immediately — rejecting stops any further data being sent.
Why consent has to come first
Consent has to come before a non-essential cookie is set, not after. A banner that drops cookies on page load and asks afterwards is not asking, whatever it says. At present the question is academic here because this site sets no analytics or advertising cookies at all — but the notice and the mechanism are in place so that it stays true if that ever changes.
That is why Google Analytics on this site is held back until you choose. The one exception is strictly necessary storage: your cookie choice itself is recorded so we can honour it, and that record contains your decision and nothing else.
